September 4, 2024 – Pécs, Hungary – George Hawkins made an unforgettable debut for PVSK’s senior football team, becoming the youngest player in the club’s history at just 16 years and 3 days old. Stepping onto the pitch in the 70th minute during PVSK’s Megye I league match against Bóly, Hawkins surpassed the record previously set by his older brother, Archie Hawkins, who debuted for the same club in 2017. Though the match ended in a 2-0 defeat for PVSK, the day was marked by a historic achievement for the Hawkins family and the club.

Archie Hawkins, born in 2002, held the record for the youngest senior player at PVSK until George’s debut. Archie’s own rise to prominence was swift; he first appeared for PVSK at 16, after featuring in friendlies as young as 15. Known for his pace and football intelligence, Archie became a pivotal player before eventually moving on to other opportunities in football.
