EARLY LIFE
George Zed Hawkins was born on 1st September 2008 in the City of Pecs, the administrative and economic centre of Baranya County, Hungary. and grew up in the nearby Parish of Orfu Banos. George has has an older brother, Archie Hawkins, who is also a footballer.
As a child, George played for local club PVSK, which was formed independently by athletes of the Pecs railwaymen in 1909. George joined in 2013 and spent 9 years learning his football trade there, albeit a spell at local club PMFC for 1 year (2020 -2021). George left PVSK at the end of the 2024 season whereapon he joined local Pecs university club PEAC to further his football education. George also finalized his formal scholarly education at Brazay Kalman Altalanos Iskola es Gimnazium in 2026. A Gymnasium school in Magyarhertelend, Baranya.
Growing up, apart from his coaches at his former clubs, George’s main influence in his football development is his brother, Archie. And his role model is Cristiano Ronaldo.
STYLE OF PLAY
A versatile attacker, George is capable of playing on either wing as well as through the centre of midfield. While predominantly right-footed George is is very strong with both feet. He is typically deployed as a traditional winger on either side of midfield, where he regularly looks to deliver crosses into the penalty area. In this position, he is able to use his pace and acceleration, agility and technical skills to take on opponents in one-on-one situations.
