DUNAÚJVÁROS FC 2 : 1 PTE-PEAC
DUNAÜJVÁROS were eventual worthy 2:1 winners.
Following convincing performances in the previous two matches, against PMFC (NB III) and LAJOSKOMÁROM ( MOL Cup), expectations were high for 3 points and consolidation in the Nb III league table. However, it was DUNAÜJVÁROS FC who opened the scoring in the first 4 minutes and the lead was doubled after 16 mins. Despite a PEAC goal (66) in the second half 10 man DUNAÜJVÁROS held out and were eventual worthy 2:1 winners.
Gábor Molnár, head coach, evaluated the match against Dunaújváros FC: “Until we can start our away matches with the necessary intensity and high focus, unfortunately, it will happen that our opponent gains the upper hand and takes the lead. Today, it took us a quarter of an hour to arrive at the match, but by then we were already 2 goals behind. After that, we held on in vain and created chances towards the end of the first half, and then we gained the upper hand in the second half, which was only enough to embellish. The coolness, fighting spirit, and high focus that characterizes us at home are reflected late or only partially away. We want to correct this duplicity as soon as possible. This is a maturation process, we must not be impatient, we are a very young team. This is not an excuse, it is a fact, but we believe in them and in the fact that the work done will bear fruit.”
